On 4 April 2022, ThirdSpace (formerly Oxford Computer Group) officially rebranded to become Kocho.
We’ve evolved over the last 20 years, still providing identity and security, but now adding cloud transformation and managed IT services to our offer.
The change in name to Kocho marks the final stage of ThirdSpace’s integration with TiG Data Intelligence, after the acquisition by TiG in March 2021. Over the last 12 months, the two organisations have been combining our offerings as a pure-play Microsoft technology partner to present a unique set of skills and services to our clients.
This fusion of two well-known Microsoft Partners, into the single Kocho brand, will help UK organisations tackle two often conflicting challenges; how to leverage best-in-class digital and cloud technologies to transform their business models, whilst ensuring their operations are defended against breaches and cyber attacks.
New identity, continued excellence
Kocho may be the new name for ThirdSpace, but we haven’t forgotten where we came from.
The skills and experience provided by ThirdSpace remain in place, with a long and proven history in the identity and access management space.
Starting out as a leading Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) partner, we’ve helped enterprise organisations across the UK with identity provisioning, secure access management, and the transition from on-premises identity to hybrid and cloud identity management through Azure AD.
As an eight-time winner of Microsoft’s prestigious Partner of the Year Award (most recently in Security and Compliance), and as holders of three Microsoft Advanced Specialisations for security, we will continue to offer leading services in this area.
ThirdSpace skills in the Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance suite continue to grow from strength to strength, ensuring our clients get expert advice, deployment, and management of Microsoft’s full suite of security products including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft 365 Defender, Intune, compliance, as well as information and identity protection.
With the coming together of ThirdSpace and TiG Data Intelligence, our clients can expect to receive the same identity and security expertise, but now they will also benefit from leading managed IT services and managed security operations offerings, as well as a deep knowledge of the Azure public cloud and how organisations can use Azure to digitally transform.
The combination of ThirdSpace and TiG Data Intelligence has seen a fusion of talent, with the employee count rising to 250+, and new architects and consultants joining the team each month. The senior management team and our resident experts remain largely in place, with Neil Coughlan moving to a new role on the Board as Chief Strategy Officer.

The word Kocho is Japanese for butterfly, a symbol of transformation, but the changes we have made as an organisation run deeper than any new logo or symbol.
Building on our experience in the identity and access management sector, as well as our close relationships with our partners, our evolution to offering secure cloud transformation and managed IT services enables Kocho to fill a key gap in the market.
