Kocho announced as 2022 Microsoft Partner of The Year Awards finalist

The annual awards recognise Microsoft partners who have demonstrated excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

The awards receive over 3,900 nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide, with Kocho chosen for providing outstanding solutions and services in compliance.

Kocho has previously won Microsoft Partner of The Year eight times in the identity and cyber security categories. This was achieved under the ThirdSpace brand, which, in early 2021, merged with leading managed services and cloud transformation provider, TIG Data Intelligence.

Both companies rebranded to Kocho in April of this year and now offer clients a comprehensive service offering comprising identity, cyber security, cloud transformation, managed services, and data analytics.

Helping achieve compliance in a high-risk sector

The 2022 award entry was based on a compliance project that Kocho carried out for a global company operating in the financial services and insurance (FSI) sector. This is a highly regulated sector and the number one target for cyber attackers.

The FSI sector is a major area of specialism for Kocho, having recently been listed as a top 5 global MSP for financial services by leading technology website, ChannelE2E.

Kocho was also listed within the CyberTech100, which is a list of the world’s most innovative cyber tech companies within financial services.

With a rapidly growing workforce and millions of active customers, our client needed to protect sensitive information from external threats and internal leaks, especially given the increase in remote working due to the pandemic.

Having secured £100,000 worth of ECIF funding from Microsoft for our client, and following detailed discovery engagements, Kocho were appointed to support key compliance workstreams including Azure Information Protection (AIP), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Records Management.
