In April 2022, TiG Data Intelligence officially rebranded to become Kocho.
The rebrand marks an exciting new stage in our growth, complementing our cloud transformation and managed services experience, with deep technical expertise in identity management and cyber security.
The change in name to Kocho marks the final stage of TiG’s integration of ThirdSpace’s services, after its acquisition in March 2021. Over the last 12 months both organisations have combined offerings to present a unique set of skills and services to our clients.
The change positions Kocho as a pure-play Microsoft technology partner, now firmly aligned with Microsoft’s new Cloud Partner Program, boasting data, AI, and infrastructure services via Azure, alongside a plethora of Partner Awards and advanced specialisations in Microsoft identity, security and modern working.

A Managed Service Provider with security at its core
This coming together of TiG and ThirdSpace into the single Kocho brand will help UK organisations tackle two often conflicting challenges; how to leverage best-in-class digital and cloud technologies to transform their business models, whilst ensuring their operations are defended against breaches and cyber attacks.
Clients can expect the same innovative managed IT services to the specialist finance, professional services, and healthcare sectors that TiG was known for. And now, our clients will also benefit from expert managed security operations, deep compliance expertise, and secure working knowhow, brought to you as part of Kocho’s complete offering.
Clients can also expect the same deep level of technical expertise TiG was renowned for in the areas of Azure cloud transformation, IoT innovation, and data analytics as well.
As a business, Kocho is building on the strong foundations laid down by TiG Data Intelligence, after a string of successful acquisitions, including MMRIT Ltd, netConsult Ltd and, most recently, ThirdSpace Ltd – all underpinned with positive investments from BGF.
This forms part of a carefully planned long-term strategy for developing a secure by design managed IT services company, specialising in Microsoft technology.
CEO Des Lekerman remains the driving force behind the business, and his strong advocacy for digital transformation and cloud solutions, continues to be instrumental in bringing the innovation, previously reserved for enterprise companies, to smaller and medium-sized businesses.
Security at the core
Kocho means butterfly in Japanese – a symbol of transformation. But our new name is more than just a new logo; we have also transformed ourselves.
Building on our traditional experience with Azure public cloud and managed IT services, the addition of enterprise-level expertise in identity management, secure remote working, and security operations, has seen Kocho fill a key gap in the market.
Kocho will be one of the first managed service providers to bring high-level security, and identity management services, previously only viable for enterprise-sized organisations, to mid-market and SME businesses. It’s an extremely exciting prospect.
