Featured alongside other leaders in the cyber security space, Kocho’s in the running to be named Best Security Company of the Year.
We’re pleased to announce that Kocho has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Security Company of the Year – Over 150 Staff’ category at this year’s Cyber Security Awards.
Established in 2014, the independent awards recognise the best individuals, teams, and companies within the cyber security industry.
Judged by a panel of industry-recognised experts, each nomination will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Profitability
- Company mission and purpose
- Unique value in the security industry
- Supporting client examples and case studies
- Contribution to the wider cyber security industry
We were selected for the shortlist due to our security-first approach to cloud transformation. By baking security into everything we do, our clients can benefit from the increased flexibility and scalability offered by secure cloud-based infrastructure.
With a security-first mindset and a talented team, we can securely support our clients throughout their transformation journey and beyond.
The nomination comes in recognition of the threat visibility and data protection work we delivered for specialist fund management company, Liontrust.
Our standing in the security community and with Microsoft continues to support our security-first approach. Being nominated for the Cyber Security Awards is just further proof of the value it provides to our clients.

Kocho and Liontrust: A partner-driven approach to security
As a financial services company with £34 billion of assets under management and advice, Liontrust faced significant security challenges.
Rapid growth and a shift to remote working had increased the security and compliance risks around access to sensitive data – and complex phishing attacks against its senior executives and managers were on the rise.
The financial and reputational penalties from a potential breach were too big to ignore.
Using our in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365’s security and compliance technologies, we worked with Liontrust to address these challenges.
A combination of our managed security services and Microsoft Sentinel helped Liontrust:
- Identify, prioritise, and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Improve threat visibility across its entire network
- Increase defence against phishing and endpoint exploitation
- Reduce demand on internal IT by outsourcing security
- Improve compliance and board buy-in with our Virtual CISO service
Investing in greater security
In addition to our work with Liontrust, our inclusion on the shortlist is supported by our investment in a fully developed security operations centre (SOC).
Based in Cardiff, our dedicated team of security experts offer specialist threat protection and managed security services such as Managed Extended Detection and Response (XDR).
We’re thrilled to be nominated for yet another security-focused award. Our standing in the security community and with Microsoft continues to support our security-first approach. Being nominated for the Cyber Security Awards is just further proof of the value it provides to our clients.
The winners will be announced at the Cyber Security Awards ceremony in London on 16 November 2022.
